FAQs

We align with the Possums Sleep Program, with a focus on maternal mental health and the infant’s individual sleep needs.

Understanding the interaction between the NDC’s 5 domains of; infant health, mother’s health, sleep, sensory experiences, and feeding, the 60 minute consult will explore a holistic approach to sleep.

Evidence demonstrates that there is no link between current ‘sleep training’ methods and improved infant sleep. That’s why our approach focuses on intuitive methods, steering clear of strategies like cry it out, interval/’controlled’ crying, generalising baby’s needs through wake windows etc. We believe in nurturing a comforting and supportive environment for restful sleep for the whole family.

We utilise the NDC’s fit and hold technique of the Gestalt method.

The Gestalt method has been particularly effective in managing nipple pain, unsettled behaviour at the breast, poor satiety, milk transfer and increasing the chance of an ongoing breastfeeding journey.

We understand the rapidly changing situations that can unfold with families. We offer same day consultations.

We understand that life with little ones can be unpredictable, and sometimes, things come up (like illness or family emergencies). If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for 24 hours notice. This allows us to offer that time to another family who may be waiting for support.

We support families nationwide, offering Telehealth consultations to remain as accessible as possible.

For feeding consultations, we see little one’s of any age but most commonly in the first few weeks of life.

For sleep consultations, we see infants right into toddlerhood (3yo).

For infant behaviour (cry/fuss) support, we generally assist in the first 16 weeks of life.
